Josh Allen named AFC Offensive Player of the Month of September

This marks the third time Allen has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month since 2020

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The hot start to the 2024 season for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has earned him the honor as AFC Offensive Player of the Month for the month of September.

Through the first four games of the year, Allen has thrown for 814 yards and seven touchdowns, while also rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns. He currently ranks tied for third in the league with his seven touchdown passes.

Allen's best game of the month was in Week 3 during a 47-10 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on "Monday Night Football". In the game, Allen threw four touchdowns, and was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the 13th time in his career.

Among some of Allen's accomplishments in the month of September:

- In Week 1, Allen recorded his fourth game with two or more passing and rushing touchdowns, passing Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young for the most all time (4).
- Allen's 101-consecutive pass attempts without an interception is the most by a Bills quarterback since Joe Ferguson recorded 108 pass attempts in 1976.
- Allen lead all AFC quarterbacks in offensive touchdowns (9), passer rating (116.5), touchdown-to-interception ratio (7-0), and total passing touchdowns with seven.

This marks the third time in Allen's career he has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month.
