Josh Allen practices with glove on injured left hand

The Bills quarterback will play Thursday night in Miami

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - While head coach Sean McDermott says there's no change to the status of any injured players for the Buffalo Bills from Monday to Tuesday, there was a significant change to how Josh Allen practiced.

The Bills quarterback wore a glove on his left hand during the session, clearly visible during the media-viewing portion of practice on a beautiful, sunny day outside the ADPRO Sports Training Center.

The Bills travel to South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night. Both teams are 1-0 after starting their seasons with an opening weekend victory this past Sunday.

It was announced Monday that starting nickel cornerback Taron Johnson will miss the game with a forearm injury. When asked Tuesday if he's a candidate to go in Injured Reserve, McDermott said the team is still evaluating all options.

If the Bills do put Johnson on IR, he would be out a minimum of four games.

Defensive tackle Dawuane Smoot missed his second-straight day of practice with a toe injury. He will most likely miss Thursday's game in Miami, as well.
