The Bills played a good game overall against the Lions, only having a few hiccups on offense and a solid defensive game that led them to their eighth victory of the 2022 campaign.

The Bills were in Detroit this past Sunday, as they were forced to play a home game against the Cleveland Browns at Ford Field after a snowstorm in Western New York buried Orchard Park in more than six feet of snow. While it was certainly a unique circumstance for his team over the last severall days, head coach Sean McDermott couldn't have been more proud of his team's composure.

"The longer you're in this league, the more you see. Then you think you've seen it all, and then the more you see again," said McDermott following Thursday's win. "Our training staff, our operations staff, our equipment staff did a phenomenal job. It was just a great all-around team effort, and great to get the win."

McDermott noted how difficult it is for a team to turn around on a short week, especially one as trying as this past week. He was nothing but complimentary of his team on their resilience and will to get the victory.

"When you win, it goes in the win column as one. When you lose, it goes into the loss column as one. No matter how you win, you've gotta find a way to win, and I think our guys have shown that they know how to do that," McDermott said. "Incredibly resilient, down to the last play really."

This wasn't a perfect game for the Bills, however, as McDermott mentioned that the team needs to get back to fundamentals and work from there.

"What you saw today was, at times, when we struggled was a lack of fundamentals," McDermott said. "We've gotta get on that, and we've gotta stay on the details with that, because that's real, and that usually is what determines games."
