(WGR 550) - NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations, Troy Vincent said during a conference call on Wednesday that "everything is being considered" when it comes to the postponed game from Monday night between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals, and how to proceed with the NFL schedule moving forward.

The "Monday Night Football" game in Cincinnati was halted with 5:58 remaining in the first quarter after Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest on the field and was administered CPR for several minutes.
Hamlin has been in the intensive care unit of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center since Monday night, where he remains in critical condition. However, in a statement released by the Bills on Wednesday, the team said Hamlin was showing "signs of improvement" starting Tuesday and into the overnight hours.
Vincent said the league will use "the guiding principles that took us into the 2020 season with COVID" as they make decisions, adding "it may not be perfect, but will allow those participating to be able to play."
On the same conference call, NFL Executive Vice President Jeff Miller said they will continue to consult with both clubs, and a decision will be made in the coming days on the future of the game.

The result of the game has major implications on AFC playoff positioning, which will also be impacted by the outcomes of this weekend's contests in Week 18.
The NFL's 2022 regular season is scheduled to conclude this weekend. The Bills are set to host the New England Patriots on Sunday for a 1 p.m. EST kickoff in Orchard Park, while the Bengals host the Baltimore Ravens at the same time.
