The Sabres announced on Friday the 21-year-old underwent successful surgery to repair an Achilles tendon injury suffered while training this week. The team says he is expected to make a full recovery

Sportsnet hockey insider Elliotte Friedman was first to report the news Thursday, and adds the expected recovery for Quinn is between 4-6 months. That will potentially place his return to the lineup some time between Thanksgiving and the start of the 2024 calendar year.

During his rookie season with the Sabres, Quinn scored 14 goals and added 23 assists for 37 points in 75 games. He even ended up earning some votes at the end of the season for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's Rookie of the Year.

That honor ended up going to Seattle Kraken forward Matty Beniers.
