Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) – According to a report from Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News on Monday, Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn has undergone surgery to repair a lower-body injury suffered this past Saturday against the San Jose Sharks.
Lysowski adds that Quinn is expected to miss approximately eight weeks of action.
Quinn missed the first 32 games of the 2023-24 regular season after suffering a ruptured Achilles during an offseason workout this past June. Lysowski does say this latest lower-body injury for the 22-year-old does not have to do with his Achilles tendon.
In 17 games played this year, Quinn scored five goals and added seven assists for 12 points.
The Sabres are currently off for their bye week and the NHL All-Star break. Their next game action will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 6 against the Dallas Stars at KeyBank Center.
