(WWJ) A group of people who wave flags in support of President Donald Trump every week downriver say drivers are getting agitated -- and aggressive -- about their demonstration.

During their latest appearance, one woman was hit by passing motorists by both a milkshake and then a water bottle thrown with such force that she says it could have killed a smaller person.

Taylor police are investigating the incident that was caught on video.

The group meets for impromptu roadside Trump rallies 12-4 p.m. every Saturday and move around to different locations downriver, but this time they were on Telegraph in Taylor.

First, "A guy threw a shake and it splattered over my leg," said the victim named Shanell who was there with her mother and two sons. "So a guy puts up a camera to see if anyone else would throw anything else."

Then the next blow came.

"All of a sudden it felt like a brick hit me on the leg," she told FOX 2. "I yelled, went down to the ground, and was crying."

The water bottle hit with such force Shanell feared it would have killed her small son if he had been hit.

Now, she's hoping the video will help police bring the driver to justice and she wants passers-by to know one thing:

"I have a right to stand there and wave my flag and support Trump just like they have a right to support Biden," she said.
