ADRIAN, MICH. (WWJ) -- A jury found Dale Warner guilty on Tuesday in the death of his wife, Dee Warner.
58-year-old Warner was found guilty of Second Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence. He was accused of strangling his 52-year-old wife in April of 2021 at the home they shared in Franklin Township before hiding her body in an industrial fertilizer tank on the property for years.
Family reported Dee missing four days after her death.
Her body was discovered during the execution of a search warrant in August 2024. The Jackson County Medical Examiner positively identified her via dental records. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Warner was arrested in November 2023.
His trial started in 39th Circuit Court in Adrian on Jan. 12. He was originally facing charges of First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence.
He is set to be sentenced on May 7 at 8:15 a.m.
