(WWJ) The Taylor Fire Department is in the preliminary stages of investigating two serious fires last night -- one of which was fatal.
City officials say details are still unfolding but here's what they know so far: The fatal incident happened at about 9 p.m. Thursday in a trailer park on 5th Street.
Minutes later when firefighters got to the scene, the entire trailer was engulfed in flames
One person, a woman, died. No age or other identification has been released at this time
"Rumors in the vicinity of an 'explosion' are currently unconfirmed," officials said, adding that the fire department is "working very closely with DTE right now on possible cause."
The second fire happened on Wilkie Street in a residential home, and may have been a kitchen fire.
The victim suffered third-degree burns and is currently at Detroit Receiving Hospital. No other information is currently available, but investigators say they will release more information as these investigations progress.
