Have you seen Malauna? Police searching for 12-year-old girl missing for a week in Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department is searching for a child who disappeared in late December on the city's west side.

According to investigators, 12-year-old Malauna Humphries was last seen Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at around 9:30 p.m. She left her home in the 3000 block of Oakman Blvd., just north of the Davison, without permission, according to her family, and did not return.

Humphries is described as 5'4'' tall and 120 lbs. with black hair styled in braids, and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and brown UGG boots.

Anyone who has seen this missing child, or who may know of her whereabouts, is asked to call the DPD's 10th Precinct at 313-596-1001.
