LANSING (WWJ) -- More than a dozen people in the Lansing area are facing charges related to drug trafficking.
U.S. Attorney Andrew Birge with the Department of Justice Western District announced that 16 men and women, ranging in age from 24 to 52, are accused of conspiring to distribute heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
The youngest suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Miguel Schooler. The oldest suspect is 52-year-old Jeffrey Humphrey.

During the arrests, officers seized large quantities of drugs and cash. More than 20 guns were also discovered by investigators.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA); Lansing Police Department (LPD) and Lansing Police Department Special Operations Section (LPD SOS); Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); Michigan State Police (MSP); Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF); United States Marshals Service (USMS); and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) all assisted in the investigation.
