2 arrested after 16-year-old girl shot and killed during domestic dispute in Detroit

(WWJ) Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl on Detroit's east side.

A 22-year-old man and 32-year-old woman, both from Westland, were taken into custody around 11 a.m. Monday, according to police.

Authorities continue looking for a 23-year-old woman who is considered a person of interest in the case.

Police say the victim was involved in a dispute at a home on Beaconsfield, near I-94 and East Outer Drive, Sunday night. The suspect and two others left the home, but someone fired on shot and hit the teenager. She died at the hospital.

Investigators say the teenaged victim and suspect knew each other.

The investigation is ongoing.
