ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WWJ) – An investigation is underway after a double shooting at a popular bar in Roseville late Saturday night left one man dead.

Officers were called to Dooley’s Tavern on Gratiot, across from Macomb Mall, around 11:30 p.m. on the report of a shooting.

The bar’s security team was working to break up a fight when a man pulled out a handgun and shot an employee in the chest.

The victim was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The man reportedly died, but police have not disclosed his name. A Facebook post says there will be a candlelight vigil Sunday night for the victim, referred to as Juju.

A second person was also shot, reportedly in the hand, during the incident. That person’s condition was unknown and it was not clear whether they were a bar employee.

The alleged shooter has been taken into police custody.

Authorities said a K-9 team was searching the area for the weapon, which was allegedly thrown near the scene.
