(WWJ) Two teenagers were listed in critical condition after crashing motor bikes in separate incidents in Pontiac.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, a 14-year-old boy lost control of his Zhejiang Apollo dirt bike on South Jessie Street near Auburn, Saturday afternoon before sliding to a stop. The teen was transferred to Children's Hospital in Detroit for treatment.
Saturday night, a 17-year-old was seriously injured on his 1993 Harley Davidson Sportster, on Houston Street near Lull, when his motorcycle collided with a Zhejiang Leike motorcycle traveling in the same direction. Officials said the operator of the Zhejiang left the scene after the crash and has not been identified.
The 17-year-old was taken to McLaren Hospital.
It's unclear how fast the teens were driving when the crashes occurred. None of the bikers involved were wearing helmets, officials said.
As the investigations into both of these crashes continue, OCSO investigators are asking for tips from the public.
Witnesses with information about either incident are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office anytime at 248-858-4911.
