DETROIT (WWJ) -- A triple shooting overnight is bringing together several different police departments for an investigation.
WWJ’s Charlie Langton reports that the incident began around 1:00 a.m. at the Deluxe Inn Motel on Grand River near 7 Mile, when a woman and her boyfriend got into an altercation.
The woman then called her two brothers for backup, who came to the motel and were met with gunfire.
The suspect shot one of the woman’s brothers as they arrived. The other brother then used his pickup truck to ram the boyfriend into a wall before he was shot as well.
After grabbing the gun, one of the brothers also shot the boyfriend.
The two brothers then hopped into another car to get to a hospital, crashing into a Southfield Police vehicle along the way. Police then escorted the men to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the boyfriend transported himself to a different hospital for treatment.
All three men -- the two brothers and the woman's boyfriend -- are reportedly in critical condition.
Police from Detroit, Southfield and Oak Park are all involved in the investigation, which is ongoing.
