
SAGINAW (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police are searching for a suspect at large after an elderly man was shot by an intruder in his own home, earlier this week.
Officials with the MSP Third District say Saginaw Major Case Unit (MCU) detectives are investigating a home invasion that happened at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the 200 block of Webber St., just south of M-46 in Saginaw.
Police said the 77-year-old resident was shot and wounded in the incident, but that his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. He was treated at a local hospital.
Police did not say if, or why the man may have been targeted, or if anything was stolen from the home.
There have been no arrests in the case, and there is no description of any suspects at this time. are no suspects in custody at this time.
