LENOX TWP. (WWJ) Firefighters discovered a body inside a burning car in a Meijer parking lot in Macomb County.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office told WWJ customers alerted deputies to smoke coming from the car around 2:15 p.m. Friday, located at the far edge of the Meijer parking lot on 26 Mile near I-94 in Lenox Township.
Investigators said firefighters extinguished the fire and then discovered the body. The age, gender, and identity of the victim are unclear—only that they are the size of an adult.
No foul play is suspected. More information is expected to be released later this afternoon.
