SUPERIOR TWP. (WWJ) -- The body of a missing 42-year-old Downriver woman was found and police now have the husband in custody.
Officials say the body was discovered in Superior Township on Monday.
Southgate authorities say the woman's 44-year-old husband allegedly murdered her following a domestic dispute. They also believe he tried to cover up the killing.
The victim was last seen at the couple's home on Walter street near Dix Toledo and Pennsylvania on Saturday -- and her husband was a person of interest in her disappearance.
Investigators say the man confessed to murdering her after an argument -- and tried to cover it up by moving her body to a mobile home park in Washtenaw County.
Formal charges are pending from the Wayne County prosecutor's office.
