
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Twelve years after a Detroit woman was shot and killed, her family is still searching for answers.
Chapane Howard, 24, was in a car with her boyfriend and children at around 9 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, when an unknown assailant opened fire.
Howard was fatally wounded. Her boyfriend was also struck but survived, and the children were cut by shattered glass.
The violent attack took place on Chicago and Mettetal on Detroit's west side.
With the anniversary of Howard's death fresh in their minds, her relatives are partnered with Crime Stoppers of Michigan to offer a $2,500 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
