DEARBORN (WWJ) -- The Dearborn Police Department has released a photo of the suspect vehicle as they search for the driver responsible for a pedestrian hit-and-run.
Police said the person who was hit, at around 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, was hospitalized following the crash, and is still recovering from serious injuries.
According to investigators, the person was struck by the car while crossing northbound across Michigan Ave near Outer Dr., and the driver just kept going.
It is believed that the vehicle — which was caught on surveillance video at a local business — will likely have front-end damage from the crash, police said.
As the investigating continues, police are hoping that someone in the public can help them to identify the vehicle, and locate the driver.
