ANN ARBOR (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police say a distracted and speeding driver is to blame for a crash involving half-a-dozen vehicles in the Ann Arbor area.

MSP on Friday released video of Thursday's chain-reaction wreck, along westbound M-14 near the US-23 interchange in Ann Arbor Twp., that sent two people to the hospital.

According to police, the driver of silver car (seen in the left lane as the video begins) failed to stop for congested traffic, and rear-ended another car, pushing it into path of a semi truck.

Before it was all over, six vehicles were involved.

"This video clip is an excellent example of being distracted and speeding while driving," wrote the MSP First District, adding: "Please always pay attention out there."

Fortunately, MSP said none of the injuries from the crash were believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the silver car was issued a ticket for failing to stop within assured clear distance.
