DETROIT (WWJ) – A Detroit man is facing a long list of charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two women, ages 80 and 64, in the span of a little more than a week.
Kenneth Dwight Davis, 28, was arraigned Thursday on seven total counts of criminal sexual conduct and one count of home invasion.
Davis is accused of breaking into a woman’s home on Memorial Street – near I-96 and the Southfield Freeway – around 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 26. He allegedly demanded money and food from the 80-year-old victim, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
He then allegedly forced her outside and sexually assaulted her before running away.
He’s facing two counts of first-degree CSC during a felony, one count of fourth-degree CSC and one count of home invasion for that alleged attack.
Just over a week later on April 3, according to the prosecutor’s office, a 64-year-old woman was walking in the area of Grand River Avenue and Ferguson Street on Detroit’s west side when she was approached by Davis.
He allegedly forced her behind a building on Grand River and sexually assaulted her, then ran from the scene.
For that incident, Davis was charged with three counts of third-degree CSC - force or coercion, and one count of fourth-degree CSC.
Detroit and Michigan State Police investigators eventually identified Davis as the suspect and he was taken into custody on Tuesday, just hours after police shared his identity with the public at a press conference.
Officials say more details about the cases will be revealed during the preliminary exam.
His next court date is scheduled for April 18.
Davis remains in custody.
