Detroit police: 2 suspects held man at gunpoint as he returned home, got away with several valuables

DETROIT (WWJ) – Police are searching for a pair of suspects who robbed a man as he returned home early Friday morning on Detroit’s east side.

A 38-year-old man was entering his home on Cadieux, just north of Mack Avenue, around 1:15 a.m. Friday when he was met by two armed men, according to Detroit police.

The suspects forced the man inside and took several items from the home before fleeing, possibly in a gray Pontiac G6.

Authorities did not say what the suspects took from the home.

Three other people were inside the home at the time of the robbery, according to police. No injuries were reported.

Both suspects are described as men in their mid-to-late 30s, both with a slender build, according to police.

Police officials released a photo of one of the men and are asking for tips from the public to identify him.
