DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police have released new footage from outside of the home where a 15-year-old boy was shot in the head last week.
The teenager was critically injured in the shooting, which happened around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 26 at a home on Stahelin Avenue in the area of 7 Mile Road and the Southfield Freeway on the city’s west side.

The boy had been spending the night at a friend’s house when someone fired multiple shots into the home, striking the 15-year-old in the head. Two other children, ages 9 and 14, were in the bedroom at the time of the shooting, but were not injured, police said last week.
Police said the 15-year-old boy was still in critical condition as of Monday evening, nearly a week after the shooting.
But a GoFundMe page organized by a family member says doctors have informed them there is "nothing more that they can do for him but make him comfortable" and he is not expected to survive.
"We are preparing to do what no parent wants to do and that's bury their child," the page says. "We are asking for donations to ease the process that was a result of another senseless act of gun violence. Anything is greatly appreciated."
Police had previously released footage showing a vehicle they believed was involved in the shooting, driving along a rainy street.
Detroit police on Monday night tweeted new footage that shows a suspect running from the house and getting into what authorities believe is a dark-colored Dodge Journey, which is seen speeding away from the scene. The video appears to have been captured from across the street on a neighbor’s doorbell camera.
Authorities have not provided a description of the suspected shooter or driver of the vehicle.
Police said last week they believe it was a targeted shooting, but the teen was not the intended target. It’s not clear who the suspects were targeting, however.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for tips that lead to an arrest. Anyone who knows something about the shooting can submit anonymous tips to 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
