Detroit police searching for missing 17-year-old girl who ran away from home

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police in Detroit are asking for help from the community in finding a teenage girl who hasn’t been seen in nearly three weeks.

Detroit police say 17-year-old Jadda Martin ran away from home at the beginning of September. Her mother last saw her on Sept. 10, but noticed she was not at home the next day according to police.

Police describe Martin as a black, 17-year-old female, about 5-foot-7, 200 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

She is said to be in good physical and mental condition, but authorities need help bringing her home.

Anyone who has seen Jadda Martin is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s 12th Precinct at 313-596-1240.
