Suspect at large after Detroit strip club shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

DETROIT (WWJ) – Police in Detroit are searching for a suspect after a shooting outside a strip club on the city’s northeast side early Sunday morning left one person dead and another injured.

Police officials say the shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. at the Truth Detroit Gentlemen’s Club on 8 Mile Road near Mound Road, according to multiple reports.

Many details surrounding the shooting remain unclear, but officials say the suspect fired shots at the victims outside the club, hitting the two men.

One man was pronounced dead, while the other was taken to the hospital and was said to be in stable condition late Sunday morning. The victims’ ages were not released.

A motive in the shooting was not immediately clear.

The shooter is still at large, though authorities have not released a description of the suspect.
