(WWJ) Mother Nature is providing a one-two punch of cold and snow this weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Wayne, Washtenaw and Lenawee counties from 5 a.m Sunday until midnight Sunday night.
Total snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches, with isolated 7 inches, are expected.
Forecasters posted a Winter Weather Advisory for Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, and St. Clair Counties starting at 9 a.m. Snow totals range from 2-5 inches.
A Winter Storm Warning is posted for Monroe County where 5-8 inches of snow is forecast.
A period of moderate to briefly heavy snow is expected late Sunday afternoon.
Travel is expected to be treacherous with snow covered and slick roads. Police always advise drivers to slow down when driving on icy roads.
The snow will fall as temperatures Saturday stayed in the single digits and dropped well below zero early in the morning.
