
(WWJ) A speedy driver is awaiting charges after Michigan State Police clocked him at 100 mph over the posted limit on the Lodge Freeway in Detroit.
According to MSP First Lt. Mike Shaw, troopers on patrol on the northbound Lodge near 8 Mile Rd. Friday night stopped the man who was allegedly going 155 mph in a Dodge Charger,
After troopers placed the man under arrest for reckless driving, they searched the car and found a loaded handgun in the center counsel.

The driver is on parole and not allowed to possess a weapon, Shaw said.
The driver was lodged at the Detroit Detention Center pending a prosecutor review of the case.
His name is being withheld pending an arraignment.
