FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) -- A rollover crash in Oakland County proved fatal after the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
Shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday morning, a driver was heading west on I-696 when the car went off the freeway near Drake Rd.
Veering to the right, the vehicle rolled over into the ditch. Authorities say the the driver was ejected.
Michigan State Police responded to the crash site and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
Unfortunately, first responders were not able to revive the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, pending a report from a medical examiner.
