(WWJ) – An Eastpointe man is facing a long list of charges after allegedly holding a man at gunpoint and forcing him into his own home during a robbery last week.
Jasper Listenbee has been charged with armed robbery, carjacking and 12 other felony counts stemming from an alleged robbery at the victim’s home last week, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
Listenbee allegedly approached the victim, who was sitting in his car outside his family’s home on May 19 and demanded the keys to his car. The victim said the keys were inside the house, so Listenbee stole his phone and money then forced him inside at gunpoint, prosecutors allege.
Once they were inside, Listenbee allegedly ordered the other people inside the home to find the keys and pointed his gun at them, according to the prosecutor’s office.
But Listenbee didn’t get away, as Warren police showed up and arrested him.
He was arraigned the same day on one count each of armed robbery, carjacking, first-degree home invasion and felon in possession of a firearm. He’s also been charged with three counts of felonious assault and seven counts of felony firearm.
Listenbee was sentenced to prison for armed robbery and home invasion in 2013 and was released last August.
Bond was set at $600,000 cash/surety. If convicted, Listenbee could face up to life in prison.
His next court date is scheduled for June 1.
"The array of charges highlight the dangerous nature of the alleged incident and the threat to the safety and well-being of our community.” Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido said, per a press release.
