ALLEN PARK (WWJ) -- A man has died after an early morning crash on Thursday along I-94 near the Southfield Freeway.
Michigan State Police say the driver was speeding and tried to get off I-94 at the Southfield, but missed the exit.
His car went off the road, hit a guardrail, flew into the air and then rolled over several times when it landed.
The driver, a 48-year-old man from Lincoln Park, died at the scene.
As part of the investigation, state troopers will inspect the car to determine if there were any mechanical issues before the crash.
