(WWJ) -- As snowflakes stopped falling in Metro Detroit, the National Wether Service released accumulation totals and it appears most people saw anywhere from two to more than six inches.
The highest totals were in Eastpointe with six inches of snow, and the Huntington Woods, Farmington Hills, and Ann Arbor areas which had at least five inches of snow.
There were about 4.4 inches in Wixom, and Beverly Hills saw more than 4 inches. Troy and Southfield both ended up with more than 3 inches.
More totals listed below:
• Washington - 6.2 inches
• Garden City - 4 inches
• Wolverine Lake - 3.6 inches
• Romulus - 2.7 inches
In order to get the roads back to normal, many cities across the metro area have declared snow emergencies, including Pontiac, Sterling Heights, Mount Clemens and Canton.
Warren is another city with a snow emergency in place. The city's mayor, Jim Fouts, asked residents to get their cars off the streets by 7 a.m. so plows can get them cleared. He is also asking residents to be kind and help neighbors with snow removal on sidewalks and driveways.
