OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) -- Firefighters in Oakland County kept busy on a frigid Tuesday -- with temps at a mere 19 degrees Fahrenheit -- as they responded to a couple fires early in the morning.
The first call came in around 2:30 a.m. about a fire occurring at Magic Motorsports on Dixie Highway in Waterford Township where the building sustained "significant damage," according to Waterford Regional Fire Chief Matt Covey.
Covey said the main fire blazed in front of the building where they service utility vehicles and then extended into the storage area where items for online sales are held.
The shop lost ATVs, motorcycles and parts, but nobody was injured.
The second fire happened around the same time on Thorpe Street in Pontiac at a two-story home.

A man in the house had to jump from a second floor window to escape the flames, only sustaining minor injuries. The other occupant in the home escaped unharmed.
