INKSTER (WWJ) – Two teenage boys are dead after a house fire in Inkster Friday night.

Firefighters say the fire appeared to have been burning for a while when they showed up to the home on Florence, near Inkster Road and Michigan Avenue around 11 p.m. Friday, according to a report from Fox 2.

By the time crews arrived, the fire had smothered itself, according to Fox 2.

When firefighters searched the home, they found the body of a 15-year-old boy, who neighbors said was disabled, mentally and physically, and was confined to a wheelchair.

Firefighters also found the body of a 17-year-old boy while searching the home. Their names have not been released.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but authorities say it appears accidental.
