Police searching for man who disappeared while being treated at medical facility in Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Has anyone seen James Haislip?

The Detroit Police Department is asking for tips from the public in the search for the 39-year-old man, who disappeared on the city's east side on Monday, May 16.

According to investigators, Haislip was being treated at a medical facility in the 15000 block of Gratiot Ave. when he left the location and did not return.

He was last seen at around 5 p.m.

Haislip is described as a white male, 5'11'' tall and around 175 lbs., with red hair and hazel eyes, and tattoos on both arms and his stomach.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt, and black ripped jeans. According to his guardian, Haislip lives with mental illness.

Anyone who has seen this missing person, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is asked to call the DPD's 9th Precinct at 313-596-5901.
