
(WWJ) Detroit Police are investigating a fatal crash in a west side neighborhood Tuesday evening.
At around 7:50 p.m., investigators say a 42-year-old man was driving a black GMC Yukon at Burt Rd. and Florence, in the area of Grand River Ave., when he crashed into a a black Chevy Equinox
The man lost control of his SUV and was ejected from the vehicle, police said. He was taken to a local hospial where he was pronouced dead.
The driver of the Chevy, a 48-year-old woman, was not injured.
While circumstances regarding the incident are still under investigation, it's believed that speed may have been a factor.
The man's name was not released.
