ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - Information is being sought by Ann Arbor Police after a man allegedly exposed and touched himself in front of a woman walking in an area park on Tuesday.
According to the Ann Arbor Police Department, the woman reported the incident around 6 p.m. on April 11 while walking on a trail at the Eberwhite Nature Area off Ridgemor Drive.
The woman told officers that she encountered the man exposing and fondling himself. The man did not approach her and the woman immediately left the area.
She told Ann Arbor police the suspect appeared to be between 25 and 35 years old, with short hair, wearing a hat and gray running shorts.
The case comes a little more than a week after a 61-year-old man was arrested after he was found exposing his genitals while intoxicated on a picnic table at County Farm Park.
As police investigated, they discovered the same man had an active warrant for his arrest in Ypsilanti, also for indecent exposure.
In February, two young women were sexually assaulted near the University of Michigan's North Campus. The victims told police that the suspect groped them and exposed himself.
Police released a sketch of the suspect, but so far, no arrests have been made.
In response to the latest incident, the Ann Arbor Police Department said they will step up patrols in the area in an effort to catch the man and keep other community members say.
