(WWJ) An Oakland County man has been arraigned in connection with a police chase that started after reports of a kidnapping in Detroit last week.
Robert Geter, 28, of Pontiac, is charged by the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office with fleeing a police officer - fourth degree, and two counts of habitual fourth offense domestic violence.
According to Michigan State Police, Geter led troopers on a chase last Wednesday, after he was accused of holding a woman and her two children against their will.
The woman called 911 from inside Geter's car along I-96 in Detroit, and troopers responded.
Police followed the suspect from I-96 onto I-94 where they were able to used a rolling roadblock to stop the car, arrest Geter, and get the three alleged victims to safety.
Police released dash cam video of the chase, which cuts off before the arrest to protect the privacy of the mother and her kids, MSP said.
No one was hurt.
