ROSEVILLE (WWJ) A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a crash in Roseville.

Michigan State Police said the man was navigating the left turn of the ramp from eastbound I-94 to westbound I-96 when he crashed around 1:15 a.m Saturday. His bike ran off the roadway, jumped the curb and landed on its side.

It slid “a significant distance” before the driver was ejected, according to State Police. The motorcycle continued to roll down the shoulder of the ramp before stopping.

He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

State Police said the driver was also found to be a felon in possession of a gun without a CPL. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

The driver’s age and identity has not yet been released.
