TAYLOR (WWJ) - Police are on the lookout for an unknown suspect wanted in connection to two auto thefts and two armed robberies spanning over the last two days across several Downriver communities.

According to Taylor Police Department's Director of Communications and Marketing, Karl Ziomek, the crime spree continued into its second day when Walgreens off Telegraph and Eureka reported they were the victim of an armed robbery on July 13.

Police responded to the pharmacy store at 11:40 a.m. and obtained a limited description of the suspect, who was said to be a white male who wore a grey hoodie.

Police said the man entered the store and at some point, produced a pistol and held up the Walgreens, eventually getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A short awhile later, the department was notified of a carjacking where a teal Saturn in Lincoln Park was stolen.

"[It] looks to be the same offender," Ziomek said of the incident.

The department believed the suspect involved in the July 13 string of crimes is also responsible for yet another armed robbery in Taylor and an auto theft in Woodhaven.

No further details about any of the incidents were released. WWJ has calls out to one of the detectives on the Taylor case to learn more.
