(WWJ) Detroit Police are still searching for a man wanted in an attempted carjacking caught on video on the city's east side.
At 7:35 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, the victim — a 54-year-old woman — was pumping gas at a gas station in the 900 block of Mack Ave., near I-75.
As seen in HD Project Green Light video released by police, the woman spots the suspect as he's getting into her car, a white 2014 BMW X3, and runs over.
According to police, "a physical altercation ensued," and some Good Samaritans jumped into action to help the victim fight the man off.
After a scuffle, the suspect fled on foot, and was last seen headed eastbound on Mack.

The suspect has since been identified as 29-year-old Jordan Miller (pictured above).
Michigan Department of Corrections records show Miller has a criminal record, with convictions on drug charges dating back to 2016.
As the investigation continues, anyone who has seen Miller, or who may know where he is, is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Commercial Auto Theft Unit at 313-596-2555. To remain 100% anonymous, call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-Speak Up.
