19-year-old killed, 17-year-old critically injured in shooting at Detroit gas station; suspect on the run (VIDEO)

DETROIT (WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for the suspect who opened fire on two young adults at a gas station, killing one and leaving the other fighting for her life.

Police said the suspect shot the man, 19, and woman, 17, at the Marathon gas station on Grand River (23600 block) near Telegraph Tuesday afternoon around 4:15.

Police video shows the suspect pull up in a black Jeep Cherokee, leap out, point his gun at a man pumping gas and pull the trigger.

The 19-year-old victim was killed at the scene. The woman is in critical condition.

The victims have not been identified. A motive for the shooting, if any, remains unknown.

The suspect was last seen driving away from the crime scene in the Jeep Cherokee, heading southeast on Grand River. It had an invalid license plate, according to police.
