ROSEVILLE (WWJ) -- Drivers should take note of a road closure that could cause some traffic trouble this week in Macomb County.
Beginning Monday morning, Masonic Blvd. is closed at Gratiot Ave. (M-3) in Macomb County for drainage work in the median, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
This closure will continue until Saturday, March 19, MDOT said.
Traffic will be able to turn right onto M-3 and will be detoured to use the next crossover to access Masonic Boulevard.
MDOT said this work is part of the second year of the two-year Gratiot project, which resumed last month to rebuild 1.7 miles of M-3 between Common and 14 Mile roads in the city of Roseville. Work includes replacing the asphalt roadway, water main and storm sewer work, sign replacement, and signal modernization, along with ramp and sidewalks to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
All work is weather permitting
The project is expected to be completed by late fall. For more information, go to MovingMacomb.org, and stay with WWJ Newsradio 950 during traffic and weather on the 8s.
