(WWJ) -- Whether you’re spending time with your sweetie this weekend, or just kicking back with your friends, a romantic comedy marathon is a great way to enjoy Valentine’s Day!
But how closely does your taste in rom-coms match up with your fellow Michiganders?
A new list compiled by Comparitech.com uses data from Google Trends to identify the most popular rom-coms by state.
In Michigan, the top film is a surprising choice: the 1985 flick “Just One of the Guys."
"It sees the main character, Terry Griffith, lose at the chance of winning a school writing competition," Comparitech.com writes. "Convinced it’s because she’s a girl, she decides to take things into her own hands by moving schools and changing her appearance to look like a boy.”
Joyce Hyser (“This is Spinal Tap”) stars as Terry Griffith, while notable names like William Zabka (“The Karate Kid,” “Cobra Kai”) and Sherilyn Fenn (“Wild at Heart,” “Twin Peaks”) also appear.
Along with Michigan, fellow midwesterners in Minnesota also listed “Just One of the Guys” as their favorite.
Other rom-coms that popped up in multiple states included “Grease,” “Coming to America,” “Life is Beautiful,” and “10 Things I Hate About You.”
