ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WWJ) – Big donations from Secret Santas in metro Detroit continue to roll in.
Officials with the Salvation Army say they’ve received four anonymous donations of coins in red kettles over the past week, including three rare South African Krugerrand coins and now a "mystery coin."
This marks the ninth consecutive year someone has anonymously donated a Krugerrand in metro Detroit.
Someone first dropped a Krugerrand at the St. Clair Shores post office on Monday night, followed by a donor at a Kroger store on Marter Road near Jefferson Avenue on Thursday.
Now, officials say they got two more donations on Friday night, including a 1983 Krugerrand at a Sam’s Club near Masonic and Gratiot in Roseville.
Someone else dropped a "mystery coin" in a red kettle at the Michael Agnello Jewellers in St. Clair Shores.

The Krugerrand coins are all estimated to be worth about $1,700, but it was not clear how much the mystery coin was worth.
The Salvation Army says because the coin at Sam’s Club was received during Herman Moore’s $84,000 Challenge this weekend, the donation is doubled by an anonymous donor.

This year’s Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign is aiming to reach $8.3 million to help support various programs that help feed, house and provide toys and gifts for those in need.
More information on the Red Kettle Campaign can be found on the Salvation Army website.
