
DETROIT (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway after a woman said her car was side-swiped and shot at by a man in a ski mask on the Southfield Freeway in Detroit.
Preliminary investigation by Michigan State Police reveals that around 8 p.m. on Friday, the victim was traveling on Plymouth Road, near Outer Drive in Detroit, when she noticed a white SUV following her.
As the SUV kept getting closer to her she noticed two males looking at her car.
The SUV then passed her and entered onto southbound Southfield Freeway. When the victim also got onto the freeway she told police that she noticed the suspect's car traveling extremely slow.
Officials said when the woman caught up with the suspects, she was side-swiped, After the crash, the passenger in the SUV --wearing a ski mask -- fired three to four shots at her.

Nobody was hit.
MSP said the shooting occurred with the victim in the center lane and the SUV in the left lane.
The victim then continued south and exited at Warren and called the Detroit police when she reached her destination.
Southbound M-39 was closed at Schoolcraft for an evidence search. Anyone with information is asked to call the Metro South Post at 734-287-5000.
