According to Oakland County Undersheriff Curtis D. Childs, at approximately 6:43 a.m. on Nov. 17, Eslick was struck by a car and injured while attempting to cross Walton Boulevard, near Price Street in Pontiac.

The vehicle heading west on Walton Boulevard was driven by a 56-year-old Rochester Hills woman.

Eslick was reportedly wearing dark clothing and was not using a crosswalk when he was hit.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, said officials.

This incident was investigated by the Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
