DETROIT (WWJ) – A suspect is in custody after an early-morning standoff with Detroit police – believed to be connected to a prior shooting – came to a peaceful end.

Detroit police responded to a home near 7 Mile and Hoover on the city’s east side around 3 a.m. and had a person in custody about an hour later.

Officials say the investigation is believed to be connected to a triple shooting at a rental hall near East Warren and Cadieux on Saturday afternoon.

Two men and a woman were sent to the hospital after being shot outside the rental hall. It was the second shooting at the hall in two days, according to police. Authorities are not sure whether the shootings were related.

The victims were said to be in stable condition Saturday night.

Detroit police were reportedly investigating Saturday’s shooting when they spotted two people of interest in the case in a car, who then fled into the home.

Authorities have not released any information about the person who was arrested early Sunday morning.
