Persons of interest wanted in connection to shooting up car, leaving 18-year-old in critical condition in Monroe County

(WWJ) The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office are seeking two persons of interest in connection to the shooting that left an 18-year-old woman fighting for her life in Frenchtown Township.

Kelvin Lamont Harris Jr., AKA “40 Cal” (left) and Austin A-Kouri Watkins (right) AKA "Austin2Times" are believed to have information on the attempted murder.

Both men have a record. The Sheriff said a warrant is out on Harris for Possession with Intent To Deliver Narcotics. Watkins has a warrant out for Absconder.

They have ties to Monroe, Brownstown Twp., Detroit, and Toledo, Ohio.

The Sheriff’s Office said the gunman shot up a car in the area of Stewart and Telegraph Roads Monday night.

He pulled up alongside the car that had six people inside, including two children, and opened fire.

The driver, 18, was struck multiple times. She is in critical condition. The 17-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries when a bullet grazed her.

The others, including the children, were not hurt.
