Police investigate Lincoln Park shooting; 39-year-old River Rouge resident dead, another in serious condition

LINCOLN PARK (WWJ) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another in critical condition in Lincoln Park on Tuesday night.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., Lincoln Park Police Officers received a complaint of shots fired in the 500 block of Southfield Road.

When officers arrived, they located two gunshot victims.

One of the victims, a 39-year-old River Rouge resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim is in serious condition at a local hospital.

It's reported that two vehicles were driving on Southfield Road when a suspect in one of the cars fired multiple rounds at the occupants in the other car.

The car that was shot at multiple times, a Chevy Malibu, crashed into a business after the incident.

Authorities said it appears that this wasn't a random incident and that the victims were targeted.

Police are still searching for the suspects.

Lincoln Park Detectives are currently investigating this incident.
